Kisumu County is expanding Kisumu County Referral Hospital (KCRH) after Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital transitioned to the national government. The county has allocated Sh80 million for a new inpatient facility and is developing a diagnostic centre offering CT and MRI scans. Victoria Sub-County Hospital will specialise in sickle cell care, newborn screening and early cancer detection, while a cancer centre is planned.
