Health CS Aden Duale has urged African nations to phase out heavy reliance on external health financing. Speaking at the 76th WHO Regional Committee for Africa, Duale emphasized that true independence requires robust domestic resource mobilization. He called on WHO Regional Office for Africa to support countries in developing stronger health investment cases and convene joint engagements between Health and Finance Ministers to secure sustainable domestic financing.
