Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja says the Dishi na County school feeding programme is set to serve its 100 millionth meal this November. The programme has so far provided 85 million meals to more than 324,000 children across all 17 constituencies. Sakaja says the county plans to expand the programme to public day secondary schools, using its existing 17 central kitchens. He says the initiative aims to ensure hunger does not hinder learning.
