The Government is intensifying its crackdown on illegal LPG dealers and cylinder-refilling cartels. Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi says enforcement agencies will pursue traders operating outside the law, citing public safety concerns. Wandayi says the Government will not bow to political pressure or allow cartels to undermine regulation of the LPG sector. He says licensed dealers must comply with safety rules and ensure proper cylinder traceability.
