Teacher Cillah’s playful social media banter with George Ruto took an unexpected turn when the President’s son visited her school and spent time with pupils and teachers.

The visit came weeks after Cillah, a teacher and content creator, jokingly expressed interest in marrying George following Charlene Ruto’s traditional wedding.

Their exchange quickly went viral, with George at one point asking Cillah for her Teachers Service Commission registration number.

Cillah later shared posts imagining their wedding, including an AI-generated image of the two as a married couple.

George addressed the matter publicly on August 24 during the Miss Universe Kenya grand finale, describing the marriage talk as largely social media banter.

During his school visit, George interacted with pupils and teachers and revealed plans to support the learners with equipment.

Cillah said she was overwhelmed by the gesture.

“I have no words that can describe how I feel. The children went home happy; that makes me happy too. George Ruto, these children will never forget you. You are such a blessing. Thank you so much,” she wrote.

George responded, "Honoured to be part of your journey! Keep up the good work, Mwalimu!”
