Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has warned politicians against threats, intimidation and inflammatory rhetoric ahead of the 2027 General Election, saying such actions could amount to violence. CS Murkomen said the 2007-08 post-election violence should remain a lesson for Kenyans as the country prepares for another highly contested election. He cautioned against political rhetoric targeting supporters and agents of rival parties, saying Kenyans should be free to support their preferred candidates without fear.
