Grassroots women in Mathare are warning against the use of youth to unleash violence during the election period, saying the tactic could be aimed at intimidating voters ahead of the 2027 General Election. Led by human rights defender Ruth Mumbi, the women have challenged political leaders to stop using young people to cause chaos, insisting every Kenyan must be free to vote without fear or intimidation.
