Grassroots women in Mathare led by Ruth Mumbi are accusing politicians of creating what they call a goon economy by exploiting unemployed youth for political gain. The women say leaders should instead create jobs and opportunities for young people, rather than turning them into tools for violence and political intimidation ahead of the 2027 General Election.
