Kenyan entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has hit back at social media users after finding herself trending online. The beauty mogul expressed complete confusion over why her name was being dragged into relationship drama.

The online buzz intensified when fans flooded Monroe's social media platforms with comments. Many messages referred to her as "somebody's ex."

The sudden wave of attention was triggered by a throwback video of Monroe and Tanzanian R&B star Juma Jux that resurfaced on TikTok.

Unexpected Online Trends

Monroe addressed the speculation directly on her Instagram stories. She explained to her followers that she had no idea what was happening.

"I think I'm trending and I don't know why? wtf is going on?"

The socialite revealed that she does not spend time reading her direct messages, keeping her in the dark.

"I always click Delete all on all my DMs. I do not have time to read DMs. So I really don't know what's going on."

The situation peaked when a verified Instagram user, fola_uk, left a comment on her post. The user wrote: "Hey ex why are you stressing a married man?"

Monroe did not hesitate to set the record straight regarding her relationship status.

"I am nobody's ex Never claimed a man online What is the one drinking?”

A Resurfaced Past

The controversy stems from an old romantic video clip featuring Monroe and Juma Jux kissing. The footage resurfaced during a viral online campaign.

Recently, Jux became the subject of the humorous "#FreeJumaJux" campaign on social media, with fans joking about his weight. Amidst this, a TikTok account bearing Monroe's name shared the old romantic video.

This led many to assume Monroe was posting the clip to shade Jux's wife, Nigerian actress and influencer Priscilla Ojo.

Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo married in early 2025. The couple held traditional and white weddings in Lagos, Nigeria, followed by a ceremony in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. They also welcomed a son, Rakeem, in August 2025.

Keeping Out of Trouble

Monroe made it clear that she is not behind the TikTok posts, explaining that she does not use her real name on most social media platforms.

"Anyways, whatever it is. Believe it. I am too grown to respond to anything online these days. I only have this IG. And my TikTok is off the grid (huddahricher). My snap chat is not even my name."

She laughed off how frequently her name is linked to dramatic claims, recalling when a man held a formal press conference claiming she owed him a massive sum.

"I stay outta trouble but my name is always involved in some bulshit I remember one guy did a press conference saying I owe him Kshs 6,000,000 😂😂😂😭😂."
