A 32-year-old man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for defiling and trafficking a 16-year-old girl in Kilifi. Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa found Godfrey Memba guilty of grooming and abducting the minor before transporting and sexually exploiting her in Mombasa. The court also found that Memba demanded money from the girl’s family for her return. He was given 14 days to appeal the conviction and sentence.
