A mother and daughter have been arrested over alleged Sh40 million land fraud in Karatina. Detectives from the Land Fraud Investigation Unit say the two allegedly transferred family land into their names and those of associated companies without the knowledge of other relatives. The alleged transactions took place between 2020 and 2023. The ODPP has directed that they face charges of conspiracy to defraud and fraudulent procurement of title.
