There is a need for the Judiciary, in collaboration with other legal institutions, to strengthen the enforcement of the rule of law for those convicted of crimes, particularly corruption. This is according to Kilifi Social Justice Centre activist Erik Mgoja, who has criticised some institutions, including the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), for failing to fulfil their responsibilities, especially in cases involving senior politicians and government officials convicted of misappropriating public funds.
