The government has disbursed 4 billion shillings to support safe maternal deliveries in Level 2 and 3 health facilities. Health CS Aden Duale says the government is committed to reducing pre- and postnatal mortality through measures including county-to-county peer benchmarking. Twenty-six counties have been identified as having a high burden of maternal mortality.
