Auditor General Nancy Gathungu has warned governors against leaving pending bills as they exit office next year. Gathungu said accumulating liabilities has become a perennial problem in counties, burdening incoming administrations and disrupting service delivery. She urged governors to clear outstanding obligations before handing over, to ensure continuity and efficient provision of services to Kenyans.
