Former Chief Justice David Maraga has given President William Ruto seven days to release the complete, unedited Police Reforms Taskforce report. In a letter to the President, Maraga says the report, submitted in November 2023, contains recommendations to restore police independence and address brutality and impunity. He accuses the government of failing to implement the recommendations, warning that he will personally release the report publicly himself if Ruto does not.
