The Ministry of Health, through the Kenya National Public Health Institute, has heightened surveillance following the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In a statement, Public Health PS Mary Muthoni said Kenya’s national health security preparedness score has risen to 81% after scaling up multi-sectoral measures. She said although Kenya has not recorded any confirmed Ebola case, surveillance and rapid response systems remain on high alert.
