The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has condemned the chaos witnessed in Homa Bay during the Linda Mwananchi rallies, warning that rising political intolerance threatens peace and democratic participation. NCIC described the violence as unfortunate and worrying, urging political actors to exercise their freedoms responsibly and avoid incitement, hate speech and disorder. The commission has also begun summoning political actors linked to the unrest as it moves to hold them accountable.
