Police in Kisumu are holding 15 suspected gang members following an intelligence-led operation along the Kisumu-Kericho highway. Detectives intercepted three vehicles and recovered machetes, pangas, knives, ropes, a metal rod and mobile phones. The suspects are being processed for arraignment. However, detectives are still pursuing a suspected gang leader, identified as Oliver Jaoko, alias Oliveti, who escaped by jumping through a vehicle window during the operation.
