Political and religious leaders in Murang’a County have called on the government to establish a special fund for men, arguing that they have been left behind in empowerment programs that have largely focused on women and youth. The leaders led by Prof Peter Kagwanja say the fund will help address economic challenges facing many men and restore their role in society. They say that the change in social economic dynamics have contributed to a rise in drug and substance abuse among men.
