Amnesty International has condemned violence yesterday’s violence in Homa Bay, including attacks on journalists, disruption of media broadcasts, property destruction and road blockades. The rights group says police and other security agencies failed to act in time to protect affected people. Amnesty is calling for independent investigations, accountability for perpetrators and urgent measures to protect journalists, political actors, businesses and residents as the country heads toward the 2027 General Election.
