Four years into President William Ruto’s administration, Kenyans are beginning to see signs of easing pressure on household budgets, with prices of some essential food items falling from levels recorded at the start of his presidency. Annual inflation has also declined from 8.5 per cent in August 2022 to 6.5 per cent in July 2026. The progress reflects government interventions aimed at stabilising prices and improving economic conditions for households.
