The Kenya Red Cross is raising concern over the rising number of road crashes, with 23 incidents reported in the first 13 days of August, leaving 31 people dead and 75 seriously injured. Senior Communication Officer Munir Ahmed says the organization has responded to eight crashes in the past four days alone, resulting in 16 deaths. The Red Cross has launched the Fika Salama road safety campaign, urging Kenyans to avoid speeding and travelling while fatigued.
