The National Assembly has invited members of the public to submit their views on the Crops Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, a proposed law seeking to reform how agricultural lending is organised and delivered in Kenya. At the centre of the proposed legislation is the consolidation of agricultural lending functions under the Kenya Agribusiness Development Corporation.The Bill would also amend the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Act and the Tea Act to align the laws with the proposed agricultural financing framework.
