The National Assembly is set to consider six education sector Bills seeking to reform governance, assessment, curriculum development, teacher training, tertiary placement and funding, and recognition of qualifications. Among the proposals is the creation of a Tertiary Education Funding Authority to bring together functions of HELB, the Universities Fund and TVET Fund. The Bills have been referred to the Education Committee for public participation.
