SHA CEO Dr. Mercy Mwangangi says investing in primary healthcare is critical, as 70 percent of Kenyans’ health needs are addressed at the primary care level. Mwangangi says many common illnesses can be managed at this level, making investment in primary healthcare essential. She says the government has invested Sh27 billion in the last 18 months, compared to 1.8 billion under the previous administration.
