DPP Renson Ingonga says measures are in place to tackle electoral offences ahead of the 2027 General Election. The DPP however says delayed reporting remains a major challenge in prosecuting such cases. He says timely reporting is critical, as delays in reporting lead to delays in investigations, limiting the DPP’s ability to take action against electoral offenders.
