Police spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga says the police acknowledge the trust deficit that has existed between the service and citizens. Nyaga says there is need for greater cooperation and understanding between the two sides, insisting that police officers and citizens share the same society. He says building trust and finding common ground will be critical to ensuring effective policing.
