Job opportunitiesThe Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has also announced a major recruitment exercise targeting personnel who will monitor the activities of political parties before, during and after the 2027 elections.
The office is seeking competent, capable and self-motivated individuals with the requisite expertise and experience to serve as County Monitors, Constituency Monitors and Call Centre Monitors on short-term contracts.
The recruitment targets 55 County Monitors, 290 Constituency Monitors and 20 Call Centre Monitors, bringing the total number of positions to 365.
The successful candidates will be tasked with monitoring the pre-election, election and post-election activities of political parties, including their compliance with the Constitution, the Political Parties Act and the Code of Conduct for Political Parties.
The positions will be based at the county, constituency and headquarters levels, depending on the role.
Interested candidates are required to visit the ORPP website to access full job profiles, qualifications, and experience requirements before submitting their applications through the ORPP Jobs e-recruitment portal.
The deadline for submissions is 5:00 PM on 1 September 2026.
All shortlisted candidates must obtain clearance certificates from six institutions: the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), and, where applicable, the Commission for University Education for authentication of foreign degrees.
Two other state institutions have announced recruitment drives targeting professionals to fill senior leadership and monitoring positions as government agencies move to strengthen their operations.
The National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK) is seeking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer as the State corporation moves to strengthen its leadership and implementation of its mandate in the petroleum sector.
NOCK is a fully integrated State Corporation involved in various segments of the petroleum supply chain, including upstream oil and gas exploration, midstream petroleum infrastructure development and downstream marketing of petroleum products.
The corporation said it is seeking to recruit top talent to complement its current team and support the implementation of its mandate.

At the same time, the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) has opened the recruitment of a Chief Executive Officer to head the State corporation responsible for water and sewerage infrastructure development within its area of jurisdiction.
The AWWDA Board of Directors is seeking a "dynamic, exceptional and visionary leader" with good professional and ethical standing to take up the position.
The agency said detailed job specifications, person specifications and other compliance requirements are available on its official website.
Applicants for the AWWDA position are required to submit either hard-copy or soft-copy applications accompanied by a signed cover letter, detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, a copy of the national identification card and the names and contacts of three professional referees.
Applications must quote reference number AWWDA/CEO/2026-27-01.
The soft-copy applications are to be submitted as a single PDF attachment, while hard-copy applications are to be delivered to the Agency's offices in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the reference number.
The deadline for applications is 4pm on September 3, 2026, with the agency warning that late applications will not be accepted.
