KEBS says it is actively engaging authorities in Rwanda and other regional regulatory bodies to understand why five Kenyan alcoholic beverage brands were temporarily suspended in Rwanda. Rwanda’s Food and Drugs Authority last week suspended the products, prompting KEBS to review their certification, manufacturing processes and safety compliance. KEBS has defended the products, saying subsequent laboratory tests confirmed all five products met prescribed standards.
