The government has defended the Hustler Fund against criticism by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. MSME PS Susan Mang’eni says 420,000 Kenyans in Nyeri County have accessed the fund, borrowing a cumulative 1.88 billion shillings. She says Nyeri has the highest repayment rate nationally at 88 percent, followed by Murang’a, Kiambu and Nairobi at 87 percent.
