Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is calling on the government to ease pressure on workers by suspending the Affordable Housing Levy and reducing tax bands. The DCP leader says President William Ruto should lead by example, arguing that State House does not need 18 billion shillings annually. He says the money could instead be redirected towards subsidising rising fuel and food prices to cushion Kenyans from the high cost of living.
