Opposition leaders have moved to demonstrate unity, a year to the 2027 General Election, amid reports of divisions within their ranks. DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua today met former CS Fred Matiang’i, PLP leader Martha Karua, former Attorney General Justin Muturi, DAPK leader Eugene Wamalwa and PNU’s Peter Munya. The meeting follows disagreements over Gachagua’s push for the merger of Mt Kenya parties, a plan some leaders have publicly opposed.
