Business owners have been urged to build strong relationships with their clients and uphold integrity, transparency and focus if they want to achieve sustained success.

Comfort Homes Director Hezekiah Kariuki said remaining focused was essential for businesses and individuals seeking to grow their careers and enterprises, warning that maintaining a leading position was more difficult than attaining it.

“Being at the top is easy but to remain on top is the hardest task and any economic player must therefore remain focused, and avoid detractions to maintain the record,” Kariuki said.

He spoke when the company held celebrations for its staff after receiving a real estate award from the Topspin Excellence Awards.

Kariuki said businesses should prioritise trust and maintain open and honest relationships with their clients as part of efforts to sustain growth.

He said integrity and transparency should also remain central to how businesses conduct their affairs, noting that these values help build confidence among clients and other stakeholders.

The celebrations were held at the company’s headquarters in Nairobi.

Kariuki said the recognition was an opportunity for the company to acknowledge the contribution of its employees and reflect on its performance.

The company had been recognised among the top real estate companies in the country, while Together As One Microfinance received a Microfinance of the Year award.

“These awards are more than trophies as they represent the impact of hard work, dedication, teamwork and trust that everyone has put into the journey,” Kariuki said.

He said employees across the company had contributed to the achievement.

“From the office to the field, every person has played a part in making this possible,” he said.

Kariuki urged business players to remain focused on their objectives and avoid distractions that could undermine their progress.

He said sustained performance required continued attention to clients, business values and the changing economic environment.
