The Senate has praised Makueni County for leading in urban devolution and revenue collection, even as lawmakers warned counties that effective management of public funds remains critical to continued access to national disbursements. The Senate Standing Committee on Devolution has commended the county following Governor Mutula Kilonzo’s appearance to give an update on the implementation of the Urban Areas and Cities Act.
