The Neurodivergent Society of Kenya is urging the government to intensify disaster preparedness and include persons with disabilities in plans for the expected El Niño rains in October. Secretary General Karen Muryuki says adequate resources should be allocated to protect PWDs, who are more vulnerable during disasters. Experts have projected an 81 percent likelihood of El Niño rains in October.
