The County Government Workers Union has called on County Public Service Boards to absorb staff on permanent and pensionable terms to enhance job security and improve productivity. Speaking in Machakos, the union Deputy General Secretary John Ndunda said employment of staff on casual terms deprives workers of clear and secure terms of employment. He called on county governments to resolve persistent challenges, including delayed salaries, low wages, and stalled promotions.
