Kenya Tourism Federation Chairperson Fred Odhiambo has defended the proposed travel insurance regulations requiring foreign visitors staying in Kenya for up to 12 months to have travel health insurance with a minimum cover of about KSh 6.5 million. Speaking on NTV, Odhiambo said the rules will not make Kenya an expensive tourist destination. He added that the regulations are still being refined through consultations with stakeholders before full implementation.
