Parents in Kenya have been urged to warn their children against engaging in gambling, especially illegal betting activities that violate the country's laws. Malindi Deputy County Commissioner Harrison Mwatevwa said some activities taking place in the area are contributing significantly to the moral decline of teenagers. He noted that gambling can negatively affect a child's character, academic performance, and overall well-being, and called on parents to play a more active role in guiding and monitoring their children.
