Senate Speaker Amason Kingi says the newly launched County Fiscal Performance Measurement Index will give Parliament an objective way of assessing how counties manage public finances. The index will track budget absorption, revenue collection, development spending and audit performance. Kingi says the findings will help identify gaps, encourage better financial management and ensure public resources deliver meaningful development for citizens.
