President William Ruto has directed all hospitals contracted by the Social Health Authority (SHA) to prioritise emergency treatment before checking a patient’s insurance status. Speaking during the launch of the SHA 922 Emergency Service, Ruto said the first duty of every health facility is to save lives. He said no patient should be denied urgent medical attention because of delays in verifying SHA coverage.
