A user named ‘Kijana ya Misa’ commented on the upbringing of Lillian’s son, Utheri in a video where he was dancing on stage with his father, Juliani. The user claimed the child would one day learn he could have been born into an influential, wealthy family.
The critic wrote that the boy "may become deeply resentful of his mother" once he understands the inheritance he has missed.
“One day, this boy will learn that he could have been born into the family of a billionaire and influential political figure, and when he does, he may become deeply resentful of his mother,” the user tweeted.

Ng’ang’a provided a firm reply to the unsolicited advice. She stood by her identity as a parent and her son's current life. She stated, "I am the Mom."
She also shared her son's details to ground the conversation in reality. She noted, "His name is Utheri. He is 4 years old."
Lillian dismissed the focus on financial status. She challenged the user to follow their own advice. She wrote, "Please go ahead and get kids with the billionaire since I didn't." She concluded her message by saying, "Bure kabisa!"
