Lactating mothers are encouraged to breastfeed as soon as their babies show signs of hunger instead of waiting for them to cry. Lactation expert Grace Echoka says failure to recognize hunger cues, strong perfumes and an unfriendly environment can make infants refuse breastfeeding. The advice comes as the world marks World Breastfeeding Awareness Week.
