Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has dismissed allegations of misappropriation of the 2 per cent SHA claims processing fee charged on payments to health facilities. In a statement, Duale said the levy is processed through the national digital health system in a transparent and accountable manner. He maintained that the fee is not discretionary as that is public fund and that no private entity receives, controls or disburses the funds.
