Chief Justice Martha Koome has launched the Bomet County Alternative Justice Systems Action Plan to improve access to justice through community-based dispute resolution. Koome says the initiative will enable residents to resolve suitable disputes through mediation, dialogue and reconciliation alongside the formal court system. She says the multi-door approach will make justice more accessible, affordable and timely while promoting social cohesion and reducing the backlog of cases.
