Tanzanian music star Zuchu is preparing for the birth of her first child. The singer shared a video with her fans as she made her final preparations for the hospital.

She is now asking her followers for advice on what else she might need for the delivery room.

Packing the Essentials

Zuchu posted a video on Instagram showing the items she has selected for her baby bag. She appeared excited as she sorted through various supplies for herself and her daughter.

"Hello my good people. So today's the day. We're finally ready to go to the hospital to meet my baby," she said in the video.

The singer’s bag includes cotton, wipes, and maternity pads. She also packed breast pads and baby blankets. Zuchu noted that she is prepared for different weather conditions by including sweaters for the newborn.

"So tell me in your comments what do you pack while going to labour."

Food was also a priority for the singer. "And here snacks are so important," she added while showing her supplies.

“First thing we carry pampers, cotton wool washing instructions, clothes, wipes, maternity pads for me...” she listed the content of her hospital bag.

A Call to Experienced Mothers

Zuchu admitted that she is still learning as a first-time mother. She reached out to her audience to ensure she had not forgotten any vital items.

In her caption, she wrote: "To all the new Moms Mnabeba nini mkiwa mnaenda kujifungua tell us."

She asked specifically for advice from those who have been through the experience before. "Any experienced mom?" she asked at the end of her video.

A Lavish Lead-up

The preparations follow a high-profile gender reveal celebration held recently. During the event, Zuchu and her husband, Diamond Platnumz, announced they are expecting a baby girl.

Diamond surprised Zuchu at the party with a significant cash gift. He presented her with TSh78 million. The gesture caused a stir on social media across East Africa.

Fans in Kenya were quick to calculate the value of the gift. One user, @officialbravo__, noted the amount is approximately 3 million Kenyan shillings.

"Diamond is a very GENEROUS JONASI."

A Five-Year Journey

The couple has been a topic of public interest since they first sparked dating rumours in late 2021. They were working together under Diamond’s WCB Wasafi label at the time.

Their relationship has seen various public ups and downs over the years. However, Diamond put an end to the speculation about their status in June 2025. He revealed that he and Zuchu had privately tied the knot.
