Kenyan music sensation Nadia Mukami on Saturday night celebrated a major milestone in her professional life. The award-winning artist held a special event to mark her 10-year anniversary in the music industry.

The night was designed to be a celebration of her hits and growth as a performer.

However, the evening took a dramatic turn when her former partner, fellow musician Arrow Bwoy, made an unannounced appearance. He did not arrive alone.

He walked into the venue carrying their child, a move that Mukami later suggested was calculated to ensure a peaceful reception.

A Strategic Arrival

The "Radio Love" singer admitted she was blindsided by his presence. She noted that his decision to bring their child changed the dynamic of the encounter. Mukami expressed that he used the child’s presence to prevent her from reacting negatively to his arrival.

"Mimi sikujua anakuja. And he came with the child kwa sababu anajua akiwa na mtoto wangu siwezi mfanyia kitu."

Mukami made it clear that while she maintained her composure, she was not fooled by the timing of his visit. She insisted that showing up at her career milestone did not fix the underlying issues in their relationship.

The Public Plea

During the event, Arrow Bwoy took the microphone to address Mukami directly in front of the gathered guests. He spoke about her significance in his life and asked for forgiveness for any past boundaries he may have crossed. He praised her as a central figure in his world.

"You are one of the special people in my life," Arrow Bwoy told the crowd. He continued by expressing his commitment to maintaining a level of honour between them.

"Hakuna siku nitawahi kukosea heshima. Hakuna siku na kama nimekosa kama sijui naomba unisamehe."

An Apology Not Accepted

Despite the public nature of the plea and the presence of their children, Mukami remained unmoved. She was quick to clarify that she did not view the gesture as a genuine resolution to their problems. She suggested that the time for such gestures might have already passed.

"But if that is an apology. Rudi very and that is not an apology and nothing is gonna be the same, maybe acha mtu amemove on"

The singer was adamant that her feelings had not changed. She told the audience and her former partner that, despite his efforts that evening, "Everything iko the same."

The Burden of Respect

Mukami emphasized that any kindness shown during the event was rooted in her role as a mother. She noted that she holds a level of respect for him solely because he is the father of her children.

"The respect will always be there," she confirmed, while also thanking him for coming through to the event. However, she remained firm that the romantic or personal rift remains unhealed.

The two stars share a complicated history and have two beautiful kids together. While Arrow Bwoy attempted to bridge the gap with a public display of humility, Mukami’s response indicates that the road to reconciliation remains closed for now.
