Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Saturday led a reception for new members joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in Maralal, Samburu County, saying the government's development agenda is focused on ensuring no part of the country is left behind.
Speaking during the event, Kindiki said Kenya's transformation depends on the equitable distribution of development programmes and the inclusion of all social and economic groups in a shared national vision.

"The transformation of Kenya entails the spread of development programmes equitably and the inclusion of all socio-economic segments of our society into a shared national vision," he said.

The Deputy President welcomed the new members into the ruling party, saying UDA was encouraged by the progress made in implementing its manifesto since taking office.

"As we receive new members into the rank and file of the governing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party, we take pride in the significant strides made so far towards implementation of the party and coalition manifesto," Kindiki said.

He said the government was accelerating the implementation of key development projects across the country, including roads, electricity, markets, education, health and enterprise support programmes.

According to Kindiki, Samburu County is among the areas benefiting from the ongoing rollout of development projects.

"Samburu County has not been left behind and so are all areas previously marginalised," he said.

The Deputy President concluded by welcoming the new members to the party, saying, "Karibuni sana kwa chama cha UDA wenzangu!"

The reception formed part of UDA's efforts to strengthen its membership in Samburu County as the party continues to rally support around its development agenda.
