Marigat, Mogotio, and Eldama Ravine towns in Baringo County have been elevated to municipality status, marking a major milestone in the county’s urban development. Governor Benjamin Cheboi said the upgrade was driven by population growth and  the towns’ potential to attract investment and enhance service delivery. He noted that the new status would create fresh economic opportunities, while local leaders pledged to work together to ensure the success and development of the municipalities.
