Nine people, including seven officials from the Nakuru County have been charged over alleged procurement irregularities involving Sh120 million. DPP says they face 19 counts, including conflict of interest, money laundering, procurement offences and acquisition of proceeds of crime linked to tenders awarded to three companies. The accused pleaded not guilty and were released on bond and bail. The case will be mentioned on September 19 for pre-trial directions.
