The Nairobi Rivers Commission and the World Resources Institute have launched a new Nature-based Solutions Strategic Framework to tackle flooding, pollution, biodiversity loss and urban heat. The framework promotes restoring rivers, wetlands and green spaces while improving public health and livelihoods. WRI says the initiative, alongside new partnerships with Nairobi County and KEFRI, will help shift the city from emergency flood response to long-term climate resilience planning.
